OVERVIEW (cont.)

Power Management

The CL-PS7111 is designed for low-power opera-

tion. There are three basic power states:

q Operating — This state is the same as the idle

state, except that the processor clock is running.

Packaging

q Standby — This state is equivalent to the com-

puter being switched off (no display), and the

main oscillator shut down.

q Idle — In this state, the device is functioning and

all oscillators are running, but the processor

clock is halted while waiting for an event such as

a key press.

The CL-PS7111 is packaged in a 208-pin VQFP

package, with a body size of 28-mm square, a lead

pitch of 0.5 mm and thickness of 1.4 mm.
